Welcome to the Masterpiece Instruments department of Musik Hug, Zurich

Look forward to a nice choice of old, fine violins, violas and cellos. We stock a selection of handmade instruments in almost every price range from CHF 5.000.- up to the most exclusive masterpiece violins, all manufactured at the well-known violin making centers in Itlay, France and Germany. Would you like to have the value of your instrument estimated for insurance or sales reasons for example? We are able to give you a help. You can also contact us to offer us your instrument for buying (also on a sale or return basis) or if you want to have us act as your agent. We will take in every instrument purchased from us in payment for a more expensive instrument under the conditions specified on the invoice. And we do, of course, supply you with the bow best suited to your instrument. Our violin maker's shop makes cost estimates and expertly repairs or adjusts your instrument, be it a student's or a concerto violin. And we have best-quality equipment and experience for rehairing your bow.
