The new YCL 255S clarinets are the perfect introduction for young clarinet students. Made from durable ABS, they are easy to handle and even easier to play thanks to the new adjustable thumb rest and an improved strap ring. By removing the cup ring, Yamaha's clarinet makers have also made the instrument even lighter while keeping it very robust. Precise intonation and a direct response help the student to produce a round sound. With the new adjustable thumb rest, the player can place the right hand in a comfortable playing position and in addition, the playing strap ring offers the use of a strap, reducing the weight of the clarinet on the thumb.
