Newly sampled for the YDP-165, the sounds of the 2.75m-long CFX concert grand produce fresh highs and punchy lows in a sound that reaches into the smallest corners of a concert hall. The CFX was played by the winner of the prestigious International Chopin Competition in 2010 and has since gained attention as one of the greatest concert grand pianos of our time.

The 88 keys of the Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard have synthetic ivory and ebony top layers. The keyboard reproduces the touch of an acoustic grand piano from heavy in the bass range to lighter in the treble. The three sensors of the GH3 keyboard provide an excellent playing feel like an acoustic instrument and enable fast repetition, guaranteeing particularly expressive playing.

The YDP-165 offers you convenient functions when you can't always play at full volume. Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) automatically adjusts the sound optimally for the player, regardless of the volume.

Thanks to the Stereophonic Optimizer, you can enjoy natural surround sound as if you were sitting in front of the instrument, even if you are wearing headphones. When you use this function, it sounds as if the sound is coming from the body of the instrument and not from the headphones. A very pleasant and natural sound experience.
