The SL-2 is based on the legendary SL-20 slicer and offers expanded possibilities with a reduced housing size in the pedalboard-friendly Boss compact format. 88 integrated patterns are available to instantly enhance your performances. You'll find even more in the Boss Tone Studio app.

Use the controls to quickly and easily create audio slices and synchronize them with the songs via tap tempo and MIDI. The SL-2 is fun to use and provides fresh musical inspiration for all kinds of musicians and performers - from guitarists and keyboardists to looping artists, DJs, beat producers and more.

Even in a conventional mono setup, the SL-2 delivers a variety of impressive sounds. It gets even more interesting when you use the two outputs and seven different output modes. This allows you to send direct and effect sounds to separate destinations - both in the studio and on stage. In addition, a wide range of stereo and 3D signal processing options are available to envelop you and the audience in animated movements. Even more groove magic is created when you connect your favorite pedal in front of the SL-2.

Stereo output modes:

• Fixed (default)-Sends the mix of direct and effect signal identically to both outputs
• EFX/Direct-Sends the effect sound to output A and the direct sound to output B
• Random-On stereo effect, that distributes the slicer sound randomly in the stereo field (left/right/center)
• Ping-Pong-A stereo effect that sends the slicer sound alternately to output A and output B
• Auto-A stereo effect, that switches the slicer sound seamlessly between output A and output B
• 3D Cross-Complex spatial sound processing that moves the slicer sound in left/right and forward/backward patterns in the 3D field
• 3D Rotation-Complex spatial sound processing, that rotates the slicer sound in the 3D field
