The NT1 large-diaphragm condenser microphone set offers an extremely attractive price/performance ratio. The microphone comes with the SMR spider for vibration-free stand mounting and a pop filter.

The aluminum housing of the NT1 is nickel-plated to resist corrosion and then coated with a ceramic protective layer in a complex electrostatic process. This protective coating is baked onto the surface, after which the graphic elements are etched in with a laser. This prevents scratches or fingerprints.

The HF6 capsule is a prime example of Rode's masterful combination of artistic requirements and pioneering manufacturing. The sound is clearly reminiscent of the immortal classics, but the microphone is considerably less noisy.

The housing of the NT1 contains a capsule suspension based on Rycote's patented Lyre technology. This suspension protects the HF6 capsule from vibrations along the X, Y and Z axes far better than other approaches. The NT1 contains high quality components and its circuitry is manufactured and extensively tested by Rode's experienced engineers in Australia. With just 4.5 dB(A) of self-noise, the NT1 is the quietest studio condenser microphone in the world.
