Description
Yamaha's new 6 Series flutes set new standards for musicality, craftsmanship and expressiveness. Inspired by Yamaha's handmade gold and silver flutes, this new series benefits from the technical skills of some of the most talented craftsmen whose understanding of the flute comes from working closely with some of the best flutists in the world. The new Type AM headjoint in particular opens up enormous musical possibilities. A special heat treatment gives the entire series greater expressive possibilities, an easier response and outstanding balance.
Type AM headjoint
It offers a finely balanced blowing resistance over the entire tonal range and allows the flutist a colorful sound design and a wide dynamic spectrum.
Straubinger™ Phoenix pads
The use of Straubinger™ Phoenix pads allows for more precise padding and sustained stable adjustment. The harder surface offers a quick response and a clear sound image.
Larger wall thickness
The increased wall thickness from the standard 0.38mm to 0.43mm gives a little more blowing resistance, a more intense sound and greater musical flexibility.
Sound Annealing
The special heat treatment process gives the entire series greater expressive possibilities, a lighter response and excellent balance.
Flap Design
The ergonomically shaped flaps are assembled and adjusted by hand. They are perfectly balanced and have a natural grip.
