Description
The ISTANBUL MEHMET Sultan series combines the brilliance of the Traditional series with the dry and dark sound of the Turk cymbals. The untreated bell produces a strong, rough bell sound and the untreated bow area reduces overtones and shortens the sustain. The underside of the Sultan cymbals is not turned. This results in a mellow sound with great stick definition and controlled overtones.
This cymbal set consists of the following cymbals:
14" HiHat
Dark and warm sound with rough, oriental and deep overtones.
16" Crash
Dynamic response, deep fundamental tone with brilliant highs.
20" Ride
Very warm and full sound with a relatively short sustain.
