Description
Korg OT-120 orchestral tuner
The OT-120 is probably the most precise tuner from Korg. With a range from A0 to C8, it can precisely record and measure the entire tone spectrum of a piano. It can tune any instrument from the tuba to the piccolo flute and from the double bass to the violin, making it extremely accurate. So that not only tunings known today can be used, but also old tunings can be used. The concert pitch A4 can therefore be set in steps of 1 Hz between 349 and 499 Hz. The tuning is not only indicated by LEDs, but also by a high-precision needle. The precision and speed of the needle movement can be adjusted so that both exact tuning before playing and visual intonation during playing are possible. In order to train the ear, the tuner can play a reference tone with which you can tune by ear. At the same time, you can visually check whether you are tuning correctly. This trains your hearing and improves your intonation. So that the tuner can be used both in the light and in the dark, the deviation from the ideal tuning is shown on the LED display in addition to the mechanical needle. The device has a battery life of over 100 hours, and even longer in power-saving mode. The tuner can also be used with a mains adapter, which can be ordered separately. The tuner has both an audio input and an audio output. This means that the signal can be fed directly into the tuner or the reference tones can be sent to an amplifier system so that an entire orchestra can practise intonation. A protective velour bag is included to ensure that this fine tuner is properly protected. This means the tuner can be used not only at home but also on the move.
