Description
Yamaha StagePas 400BT portable PA system
If you want to organize small concerts at weddings or other events with a medium-sized audience, either alone or with your band, you will quickly need an amplification system that can amplify quiet instruments such as acoustic guitars, keyboards or vocals. This is the only way to ensure that the whole audience can enjoy your music. For many bands, this means that in addition to the drums, the bus or trailer is crammed with a large amplification system, a powerful mixing console and various cables. Yamaha has put an end to this with the STAGEPAS 400BT, a portable PA system that delivers powerful performance and can be packed so small that the two speakers can be placed between the passenger's legs if necessary. With an output of 400 watts and loudspeakers that have been designed so that the sound spreads evenly and far, and in the best sound quality. Your performance will therefore be heard by the entire audience at the size described above. The compactness of the system means that you not only have to transport less, but also need less time to set up and soundcheck.
System setup
As shown in the pictures, the system consists of two loudspeakers, a detachable mixing console and two cables that can be used to connect the loudspeakers to the mixing console. The mixer has four mono and two stereo channels, or up to eight mono channels if you convert the two stereo channels into two mono channels each, which can be done at the touch of a button. You can also connect a device to the mixer via Bluetooth if required. Each channel has an equalizer, consisting of one control each for treble and bass. The four mono channels all have a reverb control that adjusts the intensity of the reverb. The reverb type is regulated via a control in the master section. There is also a master equalizer control in this section. This control is unique and allows the sound to be optimized for the music being played. The control is marked with three values, which clearly indicate which setting is suitable for which sound. The control can be adjusted from Speech to Music to Bass Boost, which makes it much easier to find the optimum setting. Of course, the volume of each channel can be adjusted and the overall volume can also be easily set. Channels one and two can be provided with phantom power and a feedback suppressor is available to prevent the speakers from suddenly starting to whistle. The sound can not only be sent to the two supplied speakers, but can also be sent to a bass amplifier via a subwoofer out so that the low frequencies are easier to hear. The sound can also be sent to a monitor so that you can hear yourself better. A footswitch can be connected to the mixer so that the singer doesn't always have to turn down the reverb control between announcements and singing, allowing this effect to be easily switched off and on again.
The mixer can be clipped inside one speaker and stowed away for transportation, while accessories such as cables or footswitches can be stored in the other speaker so that everything you need to amplify the performance is available in the two amplifiers. No other supplier except Yamaha offers such a compact, affordable and powerful system. For bands that have often struggled with organizing a PA, this amplifier system has everything you need to take care of.
