The Pearl FFXPMD-1412 Pipe Snare Drum is a pure free-floating drum made of 100% birch wood. The four-ply shell is complemented by a reinforcement ring at the top and bottom. The perfectly shaped snare bed ensures the finest string response, and the lightweight high-tension cast aluminum hoops allow extremely hard tuning for an aggressive sound. The Pearl Quick-Release Snare System allows for easy head changes. The upper snare unit is equipped with a 28-sided chrome-plated carbon steel string carpet, which can be adjusted with a standard tuning key.
