The two Live Control sliders, the pitch-bend wheel, and the freely controllable effects offer additional ways to modify the sound while playing. The new Auto Chord Play function can automatically generate suitable chord progressions, making it easier to play along with the accompaniment styles.

The PSR-E483 is also well-equipped for creative ideas and making your own music. The looper function allows you to record and play back musical phrases, while the Quick Sampling function lets you incorporate your own sounds and samples. The keyboard can also be connected to a computer or smart device via USB-C.

The built-in 2 × 6-watt speaker system delivers adequate sound for everyday use. In addition, the PSR-E483 features a microphone input, line outputs, and a USB port. For flexible use, the keyboard can be powered by either the AC adapter or six AA batteries.
