Unlike conventional guitar pickups that send all string signals to a common output, the GK-5 detects each string individually and sends the respective signals to separate outputs within the Serial GK system. Compatible Boss products can process this isolated string information, offering a variety of possibilities not possible with standard pickups. Serial GK has a secure, space-saving connection. The optional Boss BGK series cables are designed for optimum performance in conjunction with the Serial GK system and are also more robust and easier to handle than the analog 13-pin cables.
