Because of the full-cover key mechanism on oboes, it is only possible to attach a lyre to the lowest part of the cup. It must be noted that the reading distance is thus given (important for spectacle wearers). The weight is of course also heavier due to the lyre mounting. Nevertheless, it is therefore also possible for oboists to take part in the music serenade or parade music.
