Description
Drummer DC280M DynaCrasher
There are numerous crashers, most of which consist of several differently shaped and arranged plates. They give the drummer hard, short, cutting crashing sounds. Schlagwerk has a different concept here: the aggressive sounds of other crashers are often in stark contrast to the musical context when percussion is used. No crasher on the market offers a rich snare/sizzle sound at low volumes. Experience with the BuzzBoards led to the idea of making this sound system playable via sticks with a wider dynamic range. The DynaCrasher was developed from wooden boards with a snare carpet on a solid wood carrier. This design makes it possible to play quietly with the hand, producing snare or sizzle sounds immediately at low volumes. However, the DynaCrasher also produces penetrating crasher sounds when played with sticks at high volumes.
The two adjusting screws are used to set the buzz/crash sustain. The compressed playing surface wood is extremely durable. Two versions are available for different applications. DC280 is the percussion version, which is fixed to a surface with Velcro (the number stands for the length in mm) DC280m can be mounted using our woodblock holder, suitable for any standard percussion rod with 9-10mm diameter. A great addition to any percussion or drum kit setup.
