Description
Selmer clarinet 30-A-N Privilège in A
The inspired collaboration between Jéróme Verhaege, principal clarinettist at the Paris Opera, Philippe Berrod, principal clarinettist of the Paris Orchestra and Henri Selmer Paris resulted in the Privilège, a balanced and homogeneous instrument characterized by efficiency and reliability. Without aggressiveness, even in forte, the Privilege develops an exceptional sound quality.
It also sets a new standard in tuning, e.g. the low E and the low F, which always react very sensitively, are perfectly matched. Thanks to a similar bore, both Bb and A clarinets are much closer together and have the same spirit in terms of sonority, fullness of sound and blowing resistance. The instrument develops a very warm sound that fits perfectly into the clarinet repertoire. The padding is made of different materials (cork, Gore-Tex, leather) and ensures precise coverage.
The Privilège Bb clarinet comes with a PRiSme case, C 85 120 mouthpiece, is a symphonic orchestral clarinet with matt black chrome-plated rings, made of first-class grenadilla wood, 442 Hz, tone holes with special undercut, leather and Gore-Tex padding, with Eb lever, 2 pears, with silver-plated keys.
The Privilège clarinets from Selmer are also the first choice of Marco Santilli, the multi-award-winning virtuoso from Ticino. The attached videos and Marco Santilli's musical career provide more details. We look forward to seeing you at Musik Hug in Zurich for an audition.
