The Recording Custom Snares complement the sound range of the set to perfection, delivering a crisp, clear and extremely pure sound that simply delivers excellent signals live and in the studio.
Individual carpet
The 14" x 5.5" models are supplied with several rugs for the Yamaha snares, so that the perfect sound is achieved in every situation.
For a full, warm attack, the already mounted rug with 20 spirals is recommended. Another highlight is certainly the 14-spiral carpet, which Steve Gadd also uses. Four spirals have been removed in the middle, resulting in a crisp sound with a natural "cut-off". A high-quality, precise 45° shell ridge guarantees long-lasting tuning and ideal head support.
After several improvements and changes by Steve Gadd, the new Recording Custom Snares from Yamaha are indeed of groundbreaking quality. The sound is much more open and impresses with outstandingly articulate performance. First-class hardware, such as the Q-Type pickup and the Dyna Hoops offer solid and above all robust handling at the highest level.
