Two legs and the two support rods for the funnel are folded forwards and the third leg is turned to loosen the screw thread. The leg is then pushed slightly through the center piece and all four arms lock into place. The leg then simply needs to be tightened again and the stand is extremely stable and secure. One advantage of this stand is its adaptability to your saxophone. As not all saxophones are the same, both the rubber rings and the rubber cord can be moved along the two holding arms. The optimum position for your saxophone is when the instrument rests against the two rubber nubs on the centerpiece at the reinforcement ring, where the funnel is welded to the rest of the body. The Saxxy can therefore be used universally for all saxophone brands and offers the perfect stand for any curved soprano saxophone.
