The design of the Valentino rod helps to clean the entire bore, including the all-important cork plate. The flute cleaner consists of an absorbent fabric attached to a plastic rod. There is no area or material to scratch the important bore of your instrument. The Valentino Flute Wand is a one-piece unit that is long enough to clean either the body, foot or headjoint when taken apart.
The stick fits comfortably in the flute case. Ideally, you should store the moistened stick in an outer pocket of the case lid. This allows the moisture to evaporate without damaging the instrument.

Cleaning: Valentino Flute and Piccolo sticks should be washed by hand with a mild liquid detergent and lukewarm water. Washing helps to activate the absorbency of the fabric - even with a new wand. When soaking, make sure that the soapy water penetrates the fabric, then rinse it out and allow it to air dry. The flute cleaner is most absorbent when it is clean.
