Description
Baton Rouge acoustic guitar AR11C/D
This acoustic guitar from Baton Rouge has the typical dreadnought body shape. This body shape is known for a clearly defined, full sound that carries far. In order to produce this sound, however, the right combination of woods must be used. Baton Rouge uses solid Canadian cedar wood for the top, which is reinforced on the inside so that a high string tension can be applied. The cedar wood makes the sound crisp, clean and clear. The back, sides and neck are made of mahogany. The uniform use of these woods means that the whole body resonates evenly. This produces a full sound that carries far. The fingerboard is made of Ovankol, which is soft to the touch but very scratch-resistant. The nut and bridge inlay are made of TUSQ from Nubone. Nubone has developed this plastic so that it has the same tonal properties as bone, which is often used for the nut and saddle. The biggest advantage of TUSQ over bone is its longevity. The strings eat through the plastic less quickly than through the bone. For tuning, matt chrome diecast tuners are used, which have black wings that allow precise tuning with ease.
