Beschreibung
The manuscript for Movement for Clarinet and Piano was discovered
among Sybil Pentith's effects after her death. It received its first
public performance at her Thanksgiving Celebration in April 2005. The
harmonic colouration and romantic cast of the music reflect her love
of French music and its literature. Although not a wind player she
writes with an idiomatic understanding of the clarinet and provides
for both the soloist and accompanist rewarding expressive
opportunities in this warm and wistful piece. (John Belcher)
